A Paladin is defined as two things:

• A heroic champion (such as a knight).

• A defender or advocate of a noble cause.

We are the KNW Paladin Rover Crew, a group of men and women aged 18 to 26.  We are advocates of every noble cause that comes our way, whether it is teaching young Beavers and Scouts, or even helping out our community in any way they need.  We also enjoy thinking of ourselves as champions of our community, taking the Rover motto of Service to a whole other level and having fun while doing it.

Of course we still love to take a break every now and then to hang out together and just have fun.  Whether it's whitewater rafting, skiing, laser tag, or just plain old camping we make sure we enjoy ourselves thoroughly.

As for the Rover motto of Service, we not only help out around our hometown of Kirkland, but we also help out at the Tamaracouta Scout Reserve.  At TSR we have been major players in recreating an up-to-date map of the property, re-blazing and marking trails, and of course we constructed 10 adirondack shelters throughout the 1000 acre camp.

We are always looking for new people to get involved as well.  We're easily recognized throughout the city of Kirkland and at the Tamaracouta Scout Reserve from our bright red vests sporting our name and symbol which we wear year-round, so next time you see a Paladin don't hesitate to come up to us and see how you can become part of our great crew.
